Late-breaking are submissions that are accepted for oral presentation but not published in the FEBS Congress abstracts or in FEBS Open Bio (the society’s post-conference open access journal). They are displayed on the Congress website and Congress app (as all abstracts are) and are available to be presented during a special poster session. Authors of accepted late-breaking work are expected to attend the congress and present the research during a poster or oral session.
In order to qualify as a late-breaking abstract, the work must have results that were not known
The presenting authors of accepted late-breaking abstracts are required to register to attend the CHI 2025 conference and present their research during the poster or oral session in which it is scheduled to be presented. Accepted late-breaking abstracts will be included in the ‘HCII 2025 – Late Breaking Papers’ volume, which will appear after the conference. These volumes are no different in academic terms than any other CHI conference proceedings. The papers in these volumes are single-blind peer-reviewed, referenced, indexed and published by Springer.
It is the responsibility of the submitting authors to ensure that all conflicts of interest are declared and that the abstract is free of errors in grammar, spelling and scientific accuracy. All submissions are subject to a $25 processing fee.
